To launch new waxing brand Ashmira Botanica, we held a series of events across London commencing with a trade launch at The Herrick Gallery on Piccadilly.
Co-hosted by founders Tracey Smith and professional aesthetician, Andy Rouillard (hailed as Britain’s top male waxer!), the event welcomed spa and salon professionals from across London and the South East as well as beauty trade publications. Andy demonstrated how to use the wax on a male model and a brave guest. He explained the soothing properties of the new products and proved the new wax offers pain-free treatment for even the most sensitive areas.
The second part of the launch was held at Mayfair Aesthetics and Beauty. Here, men’s and women’s beauty editors and influencers received complimentary treatments, as well as an introduction to the brand’s concept and home product range. All the guests were impressed and universally agreed it was the least painful waxing they had experienced. In the men’s cases we were able to convert two previous wax virgins to the cause!
Subsequently, the brand has secured accounts with the Mandarin Oriental Hotel and the Jumeirah Hotel with many more in progress.
We are pleased to announce we will be handling the launch press and publicity for Ashmira Botanica, a revolutionary new waxing system.
Created by beauty expert Tracey Smith, the Ashmira Botanica collection is packed full of natural oils, butters, plants and flowers each chosen for their exceptional moisturising, anti-oxidant and anti-inflammatory properties to help repair, protect and nourish the skin during and after hair removal.

Tricker’s rounded out our Spring/Summer 2018 press days with a very successful event on 30 November at its Jermyn Street boutique.
The new season was well met with press admiring the bright colors, lightweight soles, and the soft suede shoes and boots.
The launch of Olivvia Scotch Grain leather was a particular hit as it is tanned with a 100% organic tanning agent made from olive leaves that is a by-product from olive production and benefits from lower water and energy usage, making this leather more environmental friendly. This is exclusive to Tricker’s for two years.
We had so much fun showing off the new season cashmere collection from Duffy New York in Camden on November 22, 2017. Guests loved the colour palette which ranged from bright knits to delicate pastel pieces.

Tricker’s super fan Michael Fassbender has been getting a lot of wear of his favourite dark navy Castorino suede light weight shoes. He’s been spotted in them on the red carpet in London for the “Assassin’s Creed” photo call, at the premier’s press conference in Beijing, China and on BBC News for an Alien Covenant interview.
In anticipation of the BAFTA TV Awards, ASCOT and the ‘Wedding Season’ we invited Fashion Editors, Celebrity Stylists and Influencers to the House of Fraser on London’s Oxford Street to review Adrianna Papell’s new SS17 collection and be treated to a Red Carpet make-over with YSL and AVEDA.
On Tuesday 25th April, we hosted the Tricker’s AW17 press day at the brand’s historical store in the heart of St James.
Seasonal collections are still a relatively new departure for the classic Northampton-shoemakers. This presentation featured several new men’s ranges including one inspired by Sir Edmund Hillary and his team of intrepid explorers who climbed Everest in the 1960s. The Himalayan range was conceived when an log book featuring the actual order by Sir Edmund and his team was discovered amongst the Tricker’s archives. Each of the three new styles features a shearling interior, a white through on the welts and have a longer upper for protection.
Another new collection features kudu leather. Inspired by a classic and well-loved pair of boots found at the Northampton factory, each length of kudu leather features imperfections sustained by the African antelope during its lifetime. Scratches, mosquito bites, thorns etc, all add to the patina of the fabric and ensure no pair of shoes or boots are the same.
Editors in attendance were able to view these new lines alongside the current season and the brand’s hallmark designs which have inspired shoemakers world-wide.
Last night at the Dorothee Schumacher boutique on Ledbury Road in Notting Hill, we attended a Summer 2017 preview event hosted by personal stylist Claire Lopez.

Guests drank pink champagne and ate co-ordinated marshmallow lollipops from Ottolenghi.
Last weekend SCPR attended London’s first Modest Fashion Week (LMFW), a two-day event organised by Haute Elan at the Saatchi Gallery.
Over 40 local and international brands showcased their collections on the runway and there were lots of networking opportunities. We were impressed to see so many women from a variety of cultures and religions uniting in their universal passion for fashion.
The concept of modest dressing combines faith and fashion without compromising one’s values. Modest fashion has become one of the fastest-growing consumer markets around the world and there is a growing network of influencers creating noise across social media.
Speaking at LMFW, Mariah Idrissi said, “This event is about diversity and showing that as much as modesty is a part of the Islamic faith, everyone is welcome to be a part of it.”
We are pleased to announce we have been appointed to handle the press and publicity for new American womenswear label Aidan Mattox.

Yesterday, Tuesday 21 February, SCPR hosted a presentation for luxury British fashion label Merchant Archive’s AW17 collection as part of London Fashion Week.
Hosted in London’s Soho House, the presentation included a preview of the AW17 collection as well as a screening of a film commissioned by the brand.
The Merchant Archive AW17 collection was inspired by the still life photographic work of Isabel Bannerman, a renowned plantswoman and award winning landscape designer. Her photographic work mesmerizingly captures the beauty and fragility of life, that brief moment between growth and decay. The film reflected this by considering the alliance and the fragility of life’s delicate balance through the freedom and coming together of dance.
Constructed in French, Italian and British cloth, using trims from Germany and producing in the United Kingdom, Merchant Archive is a British brand proud to work with its European neighbours.
